In response to media inquiries regarding the management of surplus assets following the implementation of the two-tier local government system, a representative from the Public Asset Management Department (Ministry of Finance) stated that to ensure efficient use of facilities, the Ministry has submitted handling plans to competent authorities. These plans prioritize allocation to the fields of science, healthcare, and education.

Over the past period, the Ministry has issued over 10 documents guiding ministries, sectors, and localities in the arrangement and management of public assets.
As of September 30th, more than 14,050 land and property facilities have been processed, with 13,759 facilities still requiring attention across 34 provinces and cities.
Regular assessments indicate a positive implementation progress, with the number of facilities needing processing gradually decreasing.
To prevent waste and deterioration of facilities, the Ministry of Finance has mandated central units located in local areas to review, evaluate, and collaborate with local authorities to exchange or transfer facilities no longer in use.
Recently, the Ministry of Finance issued a document to the People’s Committees of provinces and cities, as well as ministries and sectors, urging intensified and decisive actions in the upcoming phase to definitively address surplus land and property facilities.

As of now, no company has submitted an application to provide cryptocurrency services, according to Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Chi. However, several businesses have expressed interest and engaged in preliminary technical discussions with regulators to fully understand the requirements and conditions, paving the way for formal proposals in the near future.
