Recently, Indonesia’s AutonetMagz published a series of images capturing a brand-new 7-seater electric MPV on the streets of Jakarta. Despite the logo and name being concealed, the familiar design cues strongly suggest this is the Limo Green—VinFast’s latest strategic model.

The swift appearance of the Limo Green in Indonesia indicates VinFast’s accelerated efforts to launch the vehicle and target Southeast Asian markets. AutonetMagz boldly labels it a “new challenger” to prominent electric MPV competitors in Indonesia, such as the BYD M6 and Aletra L8.

As one of Southeast Asia’s largest automotive markets, Indonesia is aggressively pushing electric vehicle development. VinFast’s decision to test the Limo Green in Jakarta is a strategic move to gauge consumer response and prepare for an official launch. This follows their earlier expansion efforts, including the introduction of electric vehicles and the GSM electric taxi service.

Earlier, in August, the VinFast Limo Green was officially delivered to Vietnamese customers. Its spacious design, tailored for passenger transport, positions it as a strategic move by VinFast to penetrate the green mobility sector. The company has also filed for design patents in India, signaling its global expansion ambitions.

Launched in early 2025, the Limo Green is VinFast’s first 7-seater MPV, measuring 4,740 mm in length, 1,872 mm in width, and 1,728 mm in height, with a 2,840 mm wheelbase. It targets customers needing ample space for passengers or luggage, such as taxi services or large families.
