According to the Civil Defense Command of the Ministry of Construction, the Vietnam Aviation Authority has issued an urgent telegram, urging the entire aviation sector to strengthen storm prevention measures. In addition to the two airports directly in the storm’s path, Noi Bai (Hanoi), Vinh (Nghe An), and Tho Xuan (Thanh Hoa) have been instructed to closely monitor the situation and be prepared to adjust operations in case of severe weather conditions.

The Aviation Weather Warning Center will continuously update wind speeds and rainfall at all airports to support flight management. Airlines have been directed to proactively adjust schedules, prioritizing the safety of passengers and crew above all else. The Northern Airports Authority is intensifying supervision to ensure all preventive measures are implemented as per regulations.

Previously, the Ministry of Construction sent telegrams to specialized units and construction departments from Quang Ninh to Lam Dong, requesting the mobilization of resources and equipment to respond promptly when the storm makes landfall. For the aviation sector, directives focus on closely monitoring weather developments, thoroughly inspecting airport infrastructure, terminals, communication systems, and operations to address any emerging issues.

The Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM) has reviewed response plans and fully prepared personnel, supplies, and equipment following the principle of “3 trước, 4 tại chá»—” (3 readiness, 4 on-site), ensuring no passive situations arise. Continuous meteorological forecasting is maintained to provide accurate information for command and flight operations. Technical and air traffic control units are on 24/7 standby, ready to halt or restore systems as needed to ensure absolute safety for aviation activities as the storm approaches.

Cat Bi and Van Don International Airports will be directly affected by this storm.
