Tan Thuan Phong Co., Ltd. (Tan Thuan Phong Company) originated from Thanh Mai Copper Casting Company, established in 1990, specializing in producing copper products such as copper bars, copper wires, copper ingots, and culturally significant items like copper bells and bronze cauldrons.
In 2001, Thanh Mai Copper Casting Company rebranded to Tan Thuan Phong Co., Ltd., operating on the foundation and principles of its predecessor, with its headquarters located at km8, National Highway 5, Hai Phong City.
In 2006, Tan Thuan Phong ventured into hazardous waste transportation and treatment. The company constructed a nearly 12,000m² facility, equipped with advanced imported machinery and locally engineered systems, to process electronic circuit boards, copper scrap, sludge, industrial waste containing metals, and non-ferrous metal scrap.

In 2007, Tan Thuan Phong was one of three companies certified by the Environmental Protection Agency (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment) to operate in hazardous waste transportation and treatment, including electronic sludge, nickel waste, oil waste, cleaning solution waste, incinerable waste, packaging, and steel furnace dust.
Valuable materials recovered from treatment are recycled and supplied as raw materials for non-ferrous metal and copper sulfate production, such as copper powder.
In 2019, Tan Thuan Phong built a 22,500m² industrial and hazardous waste treatment and recycling complex at lot CN4, Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park (Hai Phong City).
Key business activities include designing and installing wastewater treatment systems, environmental consulting, goods disposal, and hazardous chemical treatment. Notable systems include industrial waste incinerators, chemical treatment systems, water treatment systems, and large-scale zinc recycling.
Tan Thuan Phong has become a partner to numerous international corporations and businesses investing in Vietnam.
As reported by Tien Phong, the Ministry of Public Security’s Investigation Agency has initiated a case for “Causing Environmental Pollution” and “Violating Accounting Regulations with Serious Consequences” involving Tan Thuan Phong and Dong Duong 3 Construction Materials Trading and Manufacturing Co., Ltd., both headquartered in Hai Phong.

Five suspects were arrested and charged. Bui Van Binh, Director of Tan Thuan Phong, faces charges for both “Causing Environmental Pollution” and “Violating Accounting Regulations with Serious Consequences.”
Bui Duc Huy, Deputy Director of Tan Thuan Phong, and Bui Dinh Chung, former Director of Dong Duong 3, are charged with “Causing Environmental Pollution.”
Phan Thi Huong Giang and Pham Thi Xuan, Accounting Deputy Manager and Treasurer of Tan Thuan Phong, respectively, are charged with “Violating Accounting Regulations with Serious Consequences.”
According to Tien Phong, Bui Van Binh is a prominent figure in Hai Phong’s industrial and hazardous waste treatment sector.
