During the Ministry of Public Security’s press conference on October 6th, Colonel Nguyễn Đức Long, Deputy Director of Hanoi Police, announced that the city’s police had received reports regarding the AntEx digital currency project.

According to Colonel Long, upon learning of public concerns and media reports about individuals losing money through the AntEx project, as well as the mutual accusations between NextTech Group Chairman Shark Bình (Nguyễn Hoà Bình) and the AntEx development team, Hanoi Police directed specialized units to investigate and take strict legal action.
After reviewing reports of criminal complaints, relevant units such as the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department, the Investigation Police Agency, the Criminal Police Department, and the Economic Police Department confirmed receiving one complaint related to the AntEx project. The complaint was filed by Mr. L.N.H. from Ninh Bình, who reported a loss of 2,000 USD (approximately 47 million VND).
Hanoi Police assured that all criminal complaints will be received and processed in accordance with the law, adhering to the principle of “no exceptions, no forbidden zones.”
During a livestream on September 26th themed “Cryptocurrency Assets – Opportunities and Risks,” NextTech Group Chairman Shark Bình made several statements that quickly garnered public attention.
Subsequently, the AntEx blockchain project resurfaced in public discussions. AntEx had raised millions of USD but later collapsed, causing significant losses for many investors.
Shark Bình claimed to be a victim himself, stating he was “ruthlessly drained.”
Notably, the project involved the NextTech/Next100 fund, founded by Shark Bình, as an investor.
The AntEx digital currency (AntEx token) was launched in September 2021 and was promoted as a “Made in Vietnam” blockchain ecosystem, aiming to develop a decentralized exchange, digital wallet, and various fintech applications. However, shortly after its launch, the AntEx token plummeted, losing nearly all its value and causing substantial losses for investors.
