Ho Chi Minh City is set to launch nine pivotal projects as part of the “Determined Acceleration, Double Productivity” campaign, celebrating the 1st Congress of the City Party Committee and the 14th National Party Congress.

The extension of the HCMC-Long Thanh-Dau Giay Expressway, from An Phu Intersection to Ring Road 2, will commence in October.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, these projects span various sectors, including culture, sports, entertainment, transportation, environment, and heritage conservation. Notably, the HCMC Children’s Palace will break ground on October 10 in the Thu Thiem New Urban Area.

The Children’s Palace, located on Lot 5-2, An Khanh Ward, boasts a modern design with an investment of over VND 1,124 billion. It aims to be a hub for children’s recreation, learning, and creativity, featuring personality-building play areas, sports zones, a fairy tale garden, and historical-geographical exploration sections. Completion is slated for December 31, 2028.

Another highlight is the expansion of the HCMC-Long Thanh-Dau Giay Expressway connector, from An Phu Intersection to Ring Road 2, starting in October. The 3.2 km road will be widened from 4 to 8 lanes, with a 36-meter carriageway. Bridges like Muong Kenh and Do Xuan Hop Overpass will also be upgraded to 37 meters. Expected to finish in 2027, this project will alleviate eastern gateway congestion and enhance regional connectivity.

Additional projects include Phu Tho Racecourse Park, Tan Chanh Hiep Park, District 6 Outdoor Sports Center, HCMC Women’s Cultural House (Branch 1), restoration of Binh Tho and Linh Tay Communal Houses, and the Da Do Canal dredging project connecting Nguyen Hoang Street to the Saigon River.

The city will also inaugurate two projects: Cu Chi General Hospital and the Ba Trieu Canal renovation.

Alongside new launches and inaugurations, the HCMC People’s Committee urges accelerated progress on key projects such as Ring Road 2, HCMC-Thu Dau Mot-Chon Thanh Expressway, Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway (Phase 1), Phuoc An Bridge, DT991B Road, DT994 Coastal Road (Vung Tau-Binh Thuan), and the Tham Luong-Ben Cat-Rach Nuoc Len Canal environmental improvement.

Why Nearly 100,000 Apartments in Ho Chi Minh City Remain Without Land Ownership Certificates

During the period from 2007 to 2010, data collection for land valuation purposes was nearly impossible, leaving 84 land allocation and land-use conversion files for real estate projects unpriced to this day. As a result, nearly 100,000 apartments remain without land-use right certificates (commonly known as “sổ hồng”).
