Honda Vietnam (HVN) has unveiled a series of new promotional programs for both gasoline and electric motorcycles. Among these, the ICON e:—Honda’s first electric motorcycle in Vietnam—is receiving special support, making it easier for consumers to embrace greener transportation options.

Two Attractive Incentive Options

Launched in a fiercely competitive electric motorcycle market, the Honda ICON e: aims to win over customers with a compelling promotional package. As Honda’s official entry into Vietnam’s electric vehicle segment, it offers buyers two dual-benefit incentives:

01 Accessory Voucher worth up to 2,000,000 VND: This is one of the highest-value physical incentives in HVN’s current promotion. Customers can use the voucher to purchase genuine accessories, enhancing both the aesthetics and functionality of their electric motorcycle.

0% Interest Installment Plan: This direct financial support reduces the initial burden on consumers, making the ICON e: a more economical choice with a low upfront payment.

The option to receive either a 2 million VND accessory voucher or a 0% installment plan gives the ICON e: a significant competitive edge in the electric motorcycle market. It encourages customers to transition from gasoline to electric vehicles while ensuring a high-quality experience and official Honda services.

Honda’s First Electric Motorcycle in Vietnam

In April 2025, Honda Vietnam officially introduced the ICON e: electric motorcycle. Assembled at its Vinh Phuc factory, this model is sold with a unique policy.

The motorcycle comes in three versions, with battery-excluded prices as follows: Premium at 26.9 million VND, Special at 27.1 million VND, and Sport at 27.3 million VND. These prices include a 10% VAT.

For this model, Honda Vietnam offers a battery rental program at 350,000 VND/month (10% VAT), with no mileage limit.

Starting September 15, 2025, HVN will implement a Buyback Policy for rented batteries, targeting ICON e: owners using the battery rental service. The suggested retail price is 9,621,818 VND/battery (8% VAT) or 9,800,000 VND/battery (10% VAT).

The motorcycle uses a 30.6 Ah Lithium-ion battery placed in the footwell, offering a 50 km range per charge (manufacturer’s test) and IP67 water resistance. Charging from 0% to 100% takes approximately 7.5 hours. Users can charge the battery either directly via the vehicle’s charging port or by removing the battery.

With compact dimensions of 1,796 x 680 x 1,085 mm and a seat height of 742 mm, the motorcycle features a spacious 26-liter storage compartment, two front compartments, and a USB-A charging port for on-the-go device charging.

According to specifications, the Honda ICON e: delivers a maximum power output of 1.81 kW (2.43 hp) and 85 Nm of torque. Its top speed is capped at 48 km/h. The battery operates at 48 volts with a capacity of 30.6 Ah, equivalent to 1.469 kWh of energy storage.

In internal testing, Honda claims the ICON e: can travel up to 71 km on a single charge.

A standout feature is the Combined Braking System (CBS). CBS allows the rider to activate both front and rear brakes simultaneously with a single brake lever, ensuring balanced braking force between the wheels.

When the rider applies the brake (left or right lever), the system automatically adjusts to synchronize both brakes, reducing wheel slip and enhancing vehicle control.
