According to Hanoi Power Corporation (EVNHANOI), as of 12 PM on October 7th, 13,943 customers in Hanoi remain temporarily without electricity due to severe flooding. The most affected areas are central districts such as Ba Dinh (5,735 customers), Hoan Kiem (2,098 customers), and Ha Dong (2,884 customers).
Several suburban areas, including Gia Lam, Tu Liem, Dong Anh, Soc Son, Son Tay, Thuong Tin, and Ung Hoa, have also reported flooding, impacting 3,226 customers.
EVNHANOI has mobilized maximum resources, including personnel, water pumps, and drying equipment, to urgently restore power stations and lines. By 12 PM on October 7th, EVNHANOI had successfully restored electricity to 5,562 customers across the capital.

Priority is being given to the hardest-hit areas, such as Ba Dinh and Hoan Kiem, where technical teams are working around the clock. They are using water pumps and drying equipment to restore power stations and lines as quickly as possible.
As floodwaters recede, EVNHANOI has deployed rapid response teams to the most affected areas to accelerate restoration efforts.
Additionally, EVNHANOI has issued timely advisories urging residents to immediately turn off their home electricity supply in case of flooding and to avoid contact with electrical devices when hands are wet or while standing on damp surfaces.
