Vietnam Computerized Lottery Company (Vietlott) has launched several products featuring massive Jackpot prizes, such as Mega 6/45 and Power 6/55. The unique prize-sharing mechanism of Lotto 5/35 has also garnered significant attention from players.
However, exploiting this popularity, malicious actors have been impersonating the company to defraud customers. According to Vietlott’s latest warning, common scams include:
Task-based revenue generation with commission incentives to lure participants. Creating fake accounts, organizing “online scratch card lottery” programs, and demanding advance payments, prize claim fees, or personal income tax to claim winnings.
To protect customers, Vietlott has issued clear guidelines: Vietlott DOES NOT operate task-based revenue schemes or offer commission incentives. Vietlott NEVER requests advance payments, prize claim fees, or personal income tax. Any applicable taxes will be deducted directly upon prize distribution.
In its announcement, Vietlott advises the public to avoid participating in revenue-generating tasks, refrain from making advance payments, fees, or taxes to claim prizes, and to only purchase lottery products through official Vietlott channels (authorized terminals and Vietlott SMS service).

Vietlott winners are subject to Personal Income Tax (PIT) as per current regulations. A 10% tax rate applies to prize amounts exceeding 10 million VND.
Players should note that taxes will be directly deducted from winnings at the time of prize distribution. Vietlott never requests advance payments for fees or taxes.
Vietlott Prize Claim Regulations
Vietlott’s prize claim regulations apply uniformly across all products (Mega 6/45, Power 6/55, Max 3D/3D Pro, Keno, etc.), with the following key conditions:
Intact Tickets: Winning tickets must be intact, without tears, alterations, or erasures. All prize information (numbers, draw period, barcode, etc.) must be clear and legible.
Claim Period: 60 days from the draw date. Expired tickets will not be eligible for prize claims.
Vietlott will process prize claims within 5 business days of receiving valid requests.
