VinFast officially launched the Evo Grand model in late July 2025. This electric motorcycle features significant design and electrical system upgrades compared to the Evo200 prototype, which was first sold in 2022.
By late September, the first batches of Evo Grand arrived at dealerships. Today, the bike is available in most stores and has become one of the most sought-after models. However, due to its differences from the Evo200, many users are still deciding which model best suits their needs.
Comparing VinFast Evo200 and VinFast Evo Grand
The VinFast Evo Grand derives its “Grand” name from its extended rear design, offering more legroom and comfort for the rear passenger. Additional exterior changes include matte black plastic panels on the sides and a switch from glossy to matte plastic on the front apron.
There are also several technical differences between the two models.
Larger Battery on Evo200, Faster Charging on Evo Grand
The VinFast Evo Grand can be equipped with two batteries: a 2.4 kWh fixed battery and an optional 2.4 kWh removable battery, sold separately for 5 million VND.
With the fixed battery, the Evo Grand offers a range of 134 km per charge. Using both batteries extends the maximum range to 262 km.

The VinFast Evo200 features a single 3.5 kWh fixed battery, providing a maximum range of 203 km per charge, as stated by the manufacturer.

Both models use LFP batteries and come with a 400 W charger. While the Evo200 takes approximately 10 hours to charge from 0% to 100%, the Evo Grand charges in about 6.5 hours. Note that charging time for the Evo Grand doubles when charging both batteries simultaneously from 0% to 100%.
The Evo200 can reduce charging time to 4 hours using a 1,000 W charger available at VinFast dealerships. VinFast has not yet released a higher-capacity charger compatible with the Evo Grand.
Users should not share chargers between models due to voltage differences, which may cause damage.
In terms of motors, the VinFast Evo Grand uses a 2,250 W electric motor, while the Evo200 uses a 2,500 W motor. Both models feature an in-hub motor integrated into the rear wheel.

Despite slight motor differences, both bikes reach a top speed of 70 km/h, the maximum speed allowed for motorcycles under Vietnamese law, provided road conditions permit.
Evo Grand Offers Greater Convenience
The Evo Grand weighs 92 kg, 5 kg lighter than the Evo200 due to its smaller battery. This lighter weight makes the bike easier to handle, especially when pushing it in parking lots.
However, adding the removable battery increases the weight to 110 kg, comparable to 125cc scooters.

The VinFast Evo Grand offers up to 35 liters of storage without the removable battery.
The VinFast Evo Grand features an upgraded storage compartment with a total capacity of 35 liters, among the largest in Vietnam’s entry-level motorcycle market. With the removable battery installed, storage capacity decreases to 16 liters, similar to many 110cc scooters.
The VinFast Evo200 offers 22 liters of storage.
Choosing Between VinFast Evo200 and VinFast Evo Grand
Given these differences, the VinFast Evo Grand is better suited for urban commuters with no frequent long-distance travel needs. Its 6.5-hour charging time ensures a full battery overnight, even for early starters or late finishers.
The removable battery is ideal for those who frequently travel long distances or use the bike for delivery services.
The VinFast Evo200 meets the basic needs of both user groups but compromises on range and storage capacity.

VinFast currently lists the Evo Grand at 21 million VND for the standard version and 18 million VND for the Lite version (designed for students, with differences in battery and motor). The Evo200 is priced at 22 million VND without a battery.
Many dealerships sell the Evo200 with a battery included at the same price but report shortages and difficulty restocking.
