From October 8-10, the Da Nang Department of Construction addressed public concerns regarding overcrowding during the submission of applications for social housing units at the Bau Tram Lakeside project (Hai Van Ward).

Previously, residents reported that the application area was frequently overwhelmed, with only 1-2 security guards present, raising concerns about security and fairness.

The Department of Construction clarified that the responsibility for application processing lies with Saigon – Da Nang Investment Joint Stock Company, the project’s developer. The department has mandated the company to disclose procedures, enhance security personnel, and deploy officials for on-site supervision.

Hai Van Ward deployed additional personnel to maintain order at the social housing application area for Bau Tram Lakeside.

According to regulations, application numbers are solely for processing order and do not determine housing selection priority. Each application must have a single authorized representative with complete original documents. Disruptive behavior or false declarations will result in penalties.

The developer plans to process approximately 90 applications daily. This phase offers 305 units priced between 700 million and 1 billion VND, attracting a large workforce due to its proximity to industrial zones.

Earlier, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper reported that on October 7, hundreds lined up, some overnight, to submit applications at Bau Tram Lakeside. Hai Van Ward authorities deployed additional forces to ensure security and order.
