Suzuki has unveiled the Vision e-Sky, a groundbreaking all-new mini electric vehicle (kei car), set to debut at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 on October 29th. This marks a significant milestone in the Japanese automaker’s electrification strategy, targeting urban dwellers and young consumers who prioritize compactness and agility.
The Vision e-Sky adopts a tallboy design, characterized by its high-roof, boxy silhouette that maximizes interior space within its diminutive footprint. Suzuki confirms dimensions of 3,395 mm in length, 1,475 mm in width, and 1,625 mm in height, adhering strictly to Japan’s kei car regulations.
Compared to the Wagon R, its gasoline-powered counterpart, the Vision e-Sky boasts a more modern and streamlined exterior. The front fascia features pixelated LED headlights, C-shaped daytime running lights, and a sealed grille—hallmarks of contemporary electric vehicles.

Along the sides, the Vision e-Sky incorporates flush door handles, aerodynamic alloy wheels, and blacked-out A and B pillars for a seamless profile. The rear end features C-shaped LED taillights, a large rear glass panel, and an integrated spoiler with a high-mounted brake light, blending modernity with Suzuki’s signature practicality.
Inside, the Vision e-Sky embraces minimalist elegance with a dual-tone bright color scheme and clutter-free layout. The dashboard is dominated by twin 12-inch digital displays—one for the instrument cluster and another for the infotainment system. A three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and a console-mounted gear selector further enhance the cabin’s openness.
Suzuki also introduces ambient lighting and unique design touches, such as a miniature potted plant on the dashboard, reflecting Japan’s design philosophy of harmonizing with nature. However, the automaker notes that this element may be simplified in the production version.

Suzuki claims the Vision e-Sky delivers a maximum range of 270 km on a single charge, a notable improvement over the 230 km range of the earlier EWX concept. The vehicle employs a 20–25 kWh LFP battery pack, striking a balance between performance, cost, and urban commuting needs. While engine specifics remain undisclosed, insiders speculate a rear-mounted electric motor, consistent with existing kei car EVs.
Suzuki confirms the production version of the Vision e-Sky will launch in Japan during the 2026 fiscal year. Simultaneously, the company is expanding its electrification efforts in key markets, including India, where Maruti Suzuki plans to introduce four new electric models by 2030.
With the Vision e-Sky, Suzuki aims to redefine the urban microcar segment, offering an affordable, agile, and energy-efficient electric vehicle tailored to the fast-paced lifestyles of Asian consumers.
