The Largest Integrated Off-Airport Cargo Terminal in the Region
Strategically located on the Northern Economic Corridor, OACT connects over 20 industrial zones with major seaports and airports such as Noi Bai, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, and extends to Yunnan and Kunming (China). This not only facilitates the flow of goods between Vietnam and the China-ASEAN region but also directly links with international airlines and key markets like the US, Europe, and Asia.
Notably, OACT is one of the first off-airport cargo terminals in Vietnam to fully integrate functions as an “off-airport cargo station,” including customs clearance, security screening, storage, ULD handling, and transportation to the airport.
Here, goods are processed under strict security protocols monitored by a 24/7 CCTV system, aviation security, and customs from receipt to loading onto aircraft.
With a total area of over 11,000 m² and a cargo handling capacity of approximately 50,000 tons/year, OACT is built and equipped with modern infrastructure to international standards. It can handle large volumes of goods from businesses and carriers in demanding markets like the US and Europe.

Dr. Yap Kwong Weng, CEO of Vietnam SuperPort™, introduces the Off-Airport Cargo Terminal at the event.
According to Dr. Yap Kwong Weng, OACT is a crucial component of the Vietnam SuperPort™ Multimodal Logistics Center, developed under the “Park within a Park” model. This integrates all transportation modes—rail, road, sea, and air—into a single hub. Businesses can flexibly switch transport modes to optimize time and costs.
Alongside connectivity and operational capabilities, Vietnam SuperPort™ is developing OACT into a modern, smart cargo station using advanced technologies like AI and robotics. In collaboration with Google and Kyndryl, Vietnam SuperPort™ is researching next-generation AI for security screening to detect prohibited and dangerous goods, and for automated document verification to enhance safety and security.
Additionally, with support from Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Vietnam SuperPort™ is developing Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGVs), robotic loaders, and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) to automate warehouse operations. This is expected to increase operational efficiency by 35% while reducing errors by 50%.
A Key to Regional Connectivity and Enhanced Adaptability
Long-term, OACT aims for full digitalization, creating an integrated logistics platform. Businesses can track, manage, and book services online—from customs declarations to electronic payments. This is a significant step toward building a fully digitalized air supply chain, connecting Vietnam to ASEAN’s smart logistics network and beyond.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Robert Yap, Executive Chairman of YCH Group, shared: “Vietnam SuperPort™ reflects the shared vision of YCH Group and T&T Group to create a smarter, greener, and more connected supply chain for the region. OACT is not just a logistics infrastructure but a catalyst for Vietnam’s role as a trade and innovation hub in ASEAN and globally.”
With the motto “Connect – Smart – Sustainable,” OACT serves as more than a cargo storage and processing facility. It is a strategic bridge enhancing integration, optimizing logistics costs, and expanding international trade opportunities for Vietnamese businesses.
