During the overnight trading session ending this morning, October 11th (Vietnam time), the price of Robusta coffee on the London exchange dropped by $88 per ton, settling at $4,480 per ton. This equates to approximately 117,000 VND per kilogram.

Coffee Prices Decline Across the Board

Compared to the previous week, the Robusta futures price has decreased by $47 per ton, representing a 1.04% decline.

Domestic coffee prices today are expected to continue their downward trend from the average of 114,300 VND per kilogram observed before the London session began.

Currently, coffee prices in Dak Lak are the highest at 114,500 VND per kilogram, while Lam Dong has the lowest price at 113,600 VND per kilogram, and Gia Lai is at 114,000 VND per kilogram.

Thus, domestic coffee prices remain lower than the exchange rates due to the scarcity of spot contracts and buyers’ expectations of further price declines as the harvest season approaches.

Robusta futures price for November 2025 delivery on the London exchange

Meanwhile, Arabica prices on the New York exchange stood at $8,220 per ton, down $90 per ton for December 2025 delivery. Compared to the previous week, Arabica futures have fallen by $390 per ton, a significant 4.53% decrease, outpacing the decline in Robusta prices.

Global Coffee Exports: What’s the Status?

According to a recent report from Brazil, the country exported approximately 195,800 tons of coffee in September 2025, a 19.5% decrease compared to the same period last year.

This indicates that Brazil’s coffee exports have yet to recover following the imposition of a 50% retaliatory tariff by the United States. Consequently, Brazil’s coffee exports have consistently declined, despite a successful harvest.

Coffee exports in Asian countries rise while declining in the Americas

The International Coffee Organization (ICO) reported that global coffee exports in August 2025 reached 681,000 tons, a 3.75% decrease compared to the same period last year. This decline is primarily due to a 14% reduction in exports from South America, with Brazil alone experiencing a 23% drop.

In contrast, coffee exports from Asian countries (Vietnam, India, Indonesia) increased by 14.9%, reaching 210,000 tons. However, over the 11-month period of the 2024-2025 crop year, global coffee exports still recorded a modest 0.2% increase.
