On October 10, the Tax Department issued two notices to agencies, units under ministries, sectors, taxpayers, and tax authorities at all levels, announcing the temporary suspension of certain tax application systems. This measure is part of the evaluation and readiness assessment for the Electronic Tax Service Application System in the standby environment (Standby).
According to Notice No. 813/TB-CT, the Tax Department will conduct the Standby system evaluation from October 11 to 12, 2025. During this period, several tax applications will be temporarily halted to facilitate the system transition.
Notably, the Electronic Tax Service Application System is scheduled for two suspension periods. The first will last 8 hours, from 6:00 PM on October 11, 2025 (Saturday) to 2:00 AM on October 12, 2025 (Sunday). The second suspension will also span 8 hours, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM on October 12, 2025 (Sunday).
Additionally, the Administrative Procedure Resolution Information System will be suspended in two phases: from 9:00 PM to 10:30 PM on October 11, 2025, and from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM on October 12, 2025.
Which Tax Applications Will Be Temporarily Suspended?

During the two-day period, the suspended applications include: eTax for businesses; iCanhan for individuals; eTax Mobile; the E-commerce Information Portal; the Electronic Information Portal for households and individuals registering, declaring, and paying taxes from e-commerce and digital platforms; the Electronic Information Portal for foreign suppliers; electronic tax services on the National Public Service Portal and the Ministry of Finance’s Public Service Portal; and the Administrative Procedure Resolution Information System.
The Tax Department urges local tax authorities to refer to the plan posted on the Tax Department’s website to promptly notify taxpayers, enabling them to proactively declare, pay, and inquire about information before the system suspension.

In Notice No. 812/TB-CT, the Tax Department also instructs departments, units under the Tax Department, and provincial and city tax authorities to proactively communicate internally to ensure uninterrupted operations. Unit heads are required to disseminate this plan to all officers, civil servants, and employees, while also arranging work appropriately during the system suspension period.
