VHE Chairman Invests Nearly $430,000 to Acquire Additional Shares, Boosting Ownership to Over 13%

Following the completion of a 2 million share purchase in Vietnam Pharmaceutical Materials and Food Joint Stock Company (HNX: VHE) at an average price of 4,888 VND per share, Chairman Bùi Tiến Vinh has increased his ownership stake to over 13%. Currently, VHE shares are trading around 5,000 VND, marking a 56% increase over the past year, yet still significantly below their historical peak of nearly 26,000 VND per share.

The transaction took place from September 10 to October 9. Following the transaction, Mr. Vinh’s ownership stake increased from 7.3% to 13.34%, equivalent to holding over 4.4 million VHE shares, solidifying his position as the company’s largest shareholder. He stated that the purpose of the transaction was to meet personal financial needs.

Based on the average purchase price of 4,888 VND per share during the buying period, the total transaction value is estimated at nearly 9.8 billion VND. On the HNX market, VHE shares were trading around 5,000 VND per share on the morning of October 13, closely matching the Chairman’s purchase price.

VHE Stock Price Performance Over the Past Year

VHE shares have improved by 19% in the last three months and surged by over 56% in the past year. Average trading volume stands at approximately 276,000 shares per session. However, compared to its all-time high of nearly 26,000 VND per share in mid-February 2019, just one month after listing, the current price has plummeted by 81% following a prolonged decline.

Previously, on July 22, 2025, VHE welcomed a new major shareholder, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai Hau, an individual investor with no internal affiliation. She acquired an additional 106,000 shares, increasing her ownership from 4.74% to 5.06%, equivalent to nearly 1.7 million VHE shares.

Founded in 2016, VHE specializes in exporting herbal products (cinnamon, star anise, cardamom, pepper) and producing herbal beverages. The company currently operates a herbal beverage production line with a capacity of 8,000 bottles per hour.

VHE’s Annual Business Results

In the first half of 2025, VHE reported a net profit of nearly 12.5 billion VND, more than six times higher than the same period last year. Revenue reached nearly 370 billion VND, a 61% increase compared to the first half of 2024. This performance helped the company surpass its full-year profit target by 525%, although revenue achieved only about 83% of the annual goal.
