VinFast’s September 2025 sales report reveals that the Limo Green achieved 2,120 units sold, surpassing the Mitsubishi Xpander’s 1,792 units during the same period. This marks the first shift in the MPV segment’s top position in nearly three years.

The last time the Xpander was outperformed was in September 2022, when the Toyota Veloz Cross sold 2,572 units compared to the Xpander’s 2,416. However, the Mitsubishi MPV quickly reclaimed its top spot the following month and maintained it for 1,136 consecutive days until the official launch of the VinFast Limo Green.

The Limo Green’s success in ending the Xpander’s dominance highlights a significant shift in consumer preference toward electric vehicles, particularly among service-oriented customers. This trend is largely driven by VinFast’s free charging policy. The 7-seater electric MPV has also contributed to VinFast setting a new sales milestone.
As of September 2025, VinFast has sold a total of 103,884 vehicles, surpassing the 100,000 mark in just three quarters. The VF 3 remains the best-selling model with 31,386 units, including 2,682 in September. The VF 5 follows with 30,956 units, 3,847 of which were sold in September. The Herio Green, designed for services, has accumulated 8,604 units, with 2,173 sold in September. The VF 6 ranks third with 14,425 units sold year-to-date, while the VF 7 has reached 5,877 units after nine months.
