September 2025 marked a significant surge for Toyota in Vietnam’s automotive market. This growth underscores the brand’s consistent consumer appeal and enduring market presence.

The Toyota Vios emerged as the standout performer, selling 1,292 units and reclaiming the top spot in the B-segment sedan category from the Honda City, which sold only 475 units. This achievement not only restores Vios’s dominance after months of lagging but also positions it to potentially rejoin the top-selling cars list for the year, reaffirming its long-held title as Vietnam’s “Sedan King.”

Meanwhile, the Toyota Yaris Cross continued to dominate the B-segment SUV market with 1,964 units sold, surpassing the VinFast VF 6 (1,933 units) after two consecutive months of trailing the Vietnamese electric vehicle. This marks the second time in 2025 that Yaris Cross has overtaken VF 6, the first being in March 2025, when it sold 1,185 units, outpacing its rival by 85 units.
