The Ministry of Finance has urgently reported to the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc regarding the deadline for completing benefit payments under Decree 178 and 67.

According to Conclusion No. 195-KL/TW, the Politburo and Secretariat have mandated the finalization of payments by October 15 for individuals who retired early or resigned as per Decree 178 and 67, and who received their retirement or resignation decisions before August 31.

In line with this, the Prime Minister has urged expediting the payment process, even aiming to complete it before October 10 to ensure strict compliance with central directives.

As reported by the Ministry of Home Affairs, as of 12 PM on October 9, 14,496 eligible individuals had not yet received their benefits.

However, the Ministry of Home Affairs reported that as of 12 PM on October 9, 14,496 eligible individuals had not yet received their benefits. Some ministries, sectors, and localities only received additional budget allocations on October 8-9.

Additionally, on October 9, following a proposal from the Voice of Vietnam, the Ministry of Finance submitted a proposal to the Government to supplement the 2025 state budget for the Voice of Vietnam. This aims to support funding for implementing policies and benefits for employees at the VTC Digital Television Station upon its closure.

The process for implementing benefit payments after receiving additional funding from the Prime Minister requires a minimum timeframe and involves several steps: ministries, central agencies, and localities must allocate budgets, input and approve budgets on the Tabmis system (Budget and Treasury Management Information System), and submit payment documents to the State Treasury for disbursement to beneficiaries.

Given the current situation, the Ministry of Finance has proposed that the Prime Minister allow ministries, central agencies, and localities to continue making payments until October 15 for individuals who retired before August 31 but have not yet been paid.
