The energization of this project marks a significant milestone for EVNNPT, celebrating the success of the 1st National Congress of the Government Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, held on October 12-13, 2025.
Prior to this, on October 7, 2025, the Investor’s Acceptance Council, chaired by EVNNPT’s Deputy General Director Hoàng Văn Tuyên, unanimously approved the project’s energization.
The Gia Lộc 220kV Substation and its connecting transmission line project is spearheaded by EVNNPT, with project management overseen by the Northern Power Projects Management Board and operational handover to Power Transmission Company 1.
Classified as a Group B, Level I energy infrastructure project, the Gia Lộc 220kV Substation is situated in Gia Khánh Commune, Gia Lộc District, formerly part of Hải Dương Province, now integrated into Gia Lộc Commune, Hải Phòng City. The transmission line spans Gia Lộc Commune, Gia Phúc Commune, and Thạch Khôi Ward in Hải Phòng City.
The project encompasses the construction of the Gia Lộc 220/110/22kV Substation, designed for three 220/110/22 kV-250 MVA transformers. In this phase, two 220/110/22kV-250MVA transformers are installed.
The 220kV section features a 16-bay switchyard with a double busbar and busbar ring configuration. This phase equips 8 bays, reserving space for an additional 8 bays.
The 110kV section includes a 24-bay switchyard with a sectionalized double busbar and busbar ring design. This phase installs equipment for 14 bays, reserving space for 10 additional bays. The 35kV section connects to the local grid for auxiliary power supply.
The control, protection, measurement, communication, and SCADA systems comply with EVN and EVNNPT standards, adhering to electrical equipment regulations and current norms.
The transmission line segment involves constructing a four-circuit 220kV line from the Gia Lộc 220kV Substation, connecting to two circuits of the Hải Dương – Phố Nối 220kV line, spanning approximately 5.37 km.
Project implementation faced challenges due to frequent storms and rainfall in the region, coupled with workforce dispersion as contractors juggled other critical power sector projects. However, under the vigilant leadership of EVN, EVNNPT, and NPMB, contractors rallied resources in the final stretch, ensuring project completion.
Upon completion, the project will bolster power supply for Hải Phòng City’s load demands, supporting local economic and social development. It will alleviate strain on existing 220/110 kV transformers at nearby 220kV substations in Hải Phòng City and adjacent provinces, enhancing grid reliability and safety by meeting N-1 criteria.
Powering Up: Illuminating the 500kV Nhon Trach 4 – Phu My – Nha Be Route
The National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) and the Southern Power Projects Management Board (SPMB) successfully energized the 500kV Nhon Trach 4 – Phe My – Nha Be power line project on the evening of December 27, in collaboration with relevant units.
The Power Transmission Project Worth Over VND 1,540 Billion in Bac Ninh Has an Investor
The People’s Committee of Bac Ninh province has approved the proposal for a 500kV Bac Ninh substation and connecting power lines. This decision paves the way for the much-needed development of the province’s power infrastructure. With this approval, the project can now move forward with the full support of the provincial government, marking a significant step towards enhancing Bac Ninh’s power transmission capabilities and ensuring a more reliable and stable electricity supply for the region.
