On October 15th, the stock market experienced significant volatility as selling pressure intensified and investor sentiment turned cautious following a robust prior rally. Amid this backdrop, ORS shares—representing Tien Phong Securities JSC—defied trends with a dramatic surge, hitting the 6.9% ceiling at VND 15,550 per share. Trading volume exceeded 15 million shares, with over 260,000 units queued at the ceiling price.

ORS’s price momentum followed HOSE’s reinstatement of margin trading eligibility for the stock. The securities firm’s shares were officially removed from HOSE’s margin trading restriction list.

Previously, nearly 336 million ORS shares exited HOSE’s warning list on August 28, 2025. This followed a fully accepted mid-year 2025 financial review, meeting criteria for removal from the warning list.

Financially, ORS’s H1 2025 audited revenue totaled VND 742 billion, down 29% year-on-year. Execution revenue fell 35% due to adverse market conditions, while strategic restructuring and activity reductions aligned with safety-focused objectives. Reevaluation gains from sold financial assets under FVTPL partially offset declines.

ORS reported a pre-tax loss of VND 100 billion, contrasting sharply with H1 2024’s VND 219 billion profit. This reversal stemmed from revenue contraction paired with insufficient cost reductions. Financial investments, particularly in corporate bonds, underperformed due to external market factors and internal dynamics.
