Lam Son Sugar Joint Stock Company (Lasuco, stock code: LSS) has announced the passing of Mr. Nguyen Xuan Lam (born on September 29, 1974), Deputy Director of the company, on October 15, 2025, at the age of 51.

From September 1991 to September 1992, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Lam served as a technical staff member at Lam Son Sugar Joint Stock Company. From October 1992 to December 1995, he was sent to study at Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

From January 1996 to June 2003, he worked as an engineer at Lam Son Sugar Joint Stock Company. From July 2003 to May 2013, he held the position of Deputy Head of the Technical Department; from June 2014 to November 2019, he served as the Head of the Technical Department.

From December 2019 until his passing, he was the Deputy General Director of Lam Son Sugar Joint Stock Company.

Lasuco originated from Lam Son Sugar Factory, established on March 31, 1980, and officially operated as a joint stock company from December 6, 1999.

Lam Son Sugar is now a leading enterprise in the production and distribution of sugarcane in Vietnam, with a closed value chain ranging from sugar, post-sugar products, to high-tech agriculture and Lavina Food. Lasuco’s products are widely consumed domestically (available in supermarket chains such as Big C, Winmart, Coopmart…) and exported to numerous international markets.

Lasuco focuses on developing products for both domestic and export markets. Currently, Lasuco employs over 1,000 staff members, including approximately 14.9% engineers across various fields, 100% skilled workers, and over 50% highly skilled technicians.

The company’s market capitalization was approximately 860 billion VND as of October 15.
