On October 15, 2025, KIDO officially announced a resolution regarding the strategy to seek a partner for the transfer of the remaining 49% stake in Kido Foods (KDF), valued at an estimated 2.5 trillion VND.

If successful, this valuation would set KDF’s total worth at approximately 5.102 trillion VND (around 210 million USD), a 14% increase compared to the 4.450 trillion VND valuation when KIDO sold 24% of KDF’s shares in 2023.

This move by KIDO follows a prolonged period of silence after the trademark dispute over Celano and Merino ice cream brands with Kido Foods, which arose after Nutifood announced its 51% stake in the company.

As a minority shareholder, coupled with the strategic withdrawal of key brands Celano and Merino to the parent group in 2022, KIDO’s sale of the remaining stake was only a matter of time. This divestment essentially signifies KIDO selling the “physical assets” (KDF’s production facilities and distribution network) after securing the “intangible value” (brand ownership).

With the potential 2.5 trillion VND proceeds from this transaction, KIDO gains additional resources to pursue new initiatives.

On October 7, through its AIRO joint venture (51% owned by KIDO), the group signed a strategic partnership with HTV-TMS (a subsidiary of Ho Chi Minh City Television) to provide AI-driven media and advertising solutions, aiming to reduce production costs and time by two-thirds.

During the event, KIDO highlighted its AI-powered campaign for “KIDO’s Bakery Premium Mooncake,” one of Vietnam’s first initiatives to integrate AI in both TVC production and livestream sales. The campaign reportedly boosted revenue by 300%, according to KIDO’s disclosed figures.

The group further demonstrated its ambition by collaborating with HTV, involving renowned directors such as Victor Vu and Nguyen Quang Dung, signaling a strategic focus on applying AI to film production.
