Ms. Jareeporn Jarukornsakul serves as the Chairperson and CEO of WHA Corporation. In 2019, she was ranked 35th among Thailand’s 50 wealthiest individuals by Forbes, with a net worth of $865 million.
WHA Corporation has launched the WHA Smart Technology Industrial Park 1 in Thanh Hoa, Vietnam, spanning over 178 hectares with a total investment of VND 1.32 trillion.
The park is designed as a smart eco-industrial zone, integrating innovation, digital transformation, and sustainable development to meet international standards in management, operations, and environmental protection.
The project aims to attract high-tech industries, including electronics manufacturing, electrical equipment, automotive components, logistics, and supporting industries. These sectors are expected to generate significant added value and have a broad economic impact. The entire technical infrastructure is slated for completion within 36 months, with secondary investors anticipated by late 2026.
With over 36 years of experience, WHA Corporation is Thailand’s leading industrial park developer. In Vietnam, the company has invested approximately $360 million across projects in Hanoi, Hung Yen, Nghe An, and Thanh Hoa.

Beyond industrial parks, the Thai conglomerate is expanding into auxiliary sectors such as water and wastewater treatment.
In early 2019, WHA Utilities and Power Public Company Limited (WHAUP), a WHA subsidiary, acquired a 47.31% stake in Cuahoi Water Supply Joint Stock Company (Nghe An). This investment aligns with WHAUP’s strategy to expand in Vietnam, ensuring water supply for clients in WHA Industrial Zone 1 – Nghe An.
Later in 2019, WHAUP completed the acquisition of a 34% stake in Duong River Surface Water JSC (Hanoi) for over VND 2.073 trillion. This made WHAUP the second-largest shareholder, after Aqua One Corporation, chaired by Ms. Do Thi Kim Lien (Shark Lien).
However, a dispute arose when WHAUP filed a lawsuit with the Vietnam International Arbitration Center (VIAC), demanding Aqua One repurchase its shares due to alleged contract breaches related to unfulfilled plant capacity expansion agreements.
WHA Corporation plans to invest at least $1 billion over the next five years to develop smart and eco-friendly industrial parks in Vietnam. The company aims to expand its operations into water and wastewater treatment, renewable energy, logistics, and industrial real estate.
