At the 2025 Vietnam International Innovation Expo, Vietnam SuperPort™ once again unveiled its new Logistics Connection Platform to the public. This groundbreaking initiative, launched on September 15th, is a collaboration between the “super port” and strategic partners in logistics, banking, finance, and technology: Vietnam Post Logistics, Techcombank, Visa, and Doxa Holdings (Singapore).

Optimizing Logistics Costs
The platform offers SMEs a comprehensive digital process, from order placement to payment, with real-time order tracking. It simplifies documentation, enhances transparency, and directly connects to bonded warehouses, transportation networks, and financial services like loans, disbursements, and diverse payment options. By improving cash flow and reducing reliance on paperwork, the platform empowers SMEs to operate more efficiently and confidently enter the global market.

According to Dr. Yap Kwong Weng, CEO of Vietnam SuperPort™, “The platform can reduce logistics costs by 10-20% by streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency. Essentially, we eliminate intermediaries from the entire workflow.” Addressing cost concerns for participating businesses, he noted that the fees are negligible compared to the overall cost savings and added value the platform provides.
Facilitating Cross-Border Financial Flows
While existing logistics platforms help businesses find transport providers and logistics solutions, they often fail to address capital, cash flow, and payment challenges. To create an “all-in-one” ecosystem, Vietnam SuperPort™ partnered with leading financial institutions like Techcombank and Visa to streamline financial flows for businesses.
At the Logistics and Digital Trade Connectivity Conference, Ms. Đặng Tuyết Dung, Visa’s Country Manager for Vietnam and Laos, emphasized, “Visa integrates payment solutions and embedded finance into the logistics platform, enabling instant transactions at every touchpoint in the trade flow. Whether it’s service usage, order confirmation, or delivery completion, payments can occur seamlessly.”

Ms. Dung highlighted the platform’s global connectivity and cost optimization. Visa’s solutions facilitate cross-border financial flows, ensuring immediate payments to suppliers, which builds trust with partners and enables quick access to capital—a critical factor for sustainable operations.
Leveraging AI and Digital Technology for Enhanced Cargo Security
Despite advancements in technology, cargo safety and security remain paramount in logistics. When asked about risks in cargo transportation, Mr. Edmund Ng, CEO of Doxa Holdings, explained, “Logistics is inherently complex, but digitization and IoT tracking provide transparent data from origin to destination. In case of damage or loss, clear evidence supports insurance claims, similar to online shopping processes. AI-generated insights also identify high-risk areas to improve logistics and insurance assessments.”

Experts agree that digital platforms help SMEs overcome challenges like market access, partner search, financing, and payments. Building trust and managing transactions are significant hurdles alongside logistics and warehousing. Mr. Đào Trọng Khoa, Chairman of the Vietnam Logistics Business Association, noted, “Small businesses often lack the resources of larger firms. Digital platforms alleviate these burdens, allowing SMEs to focus on core competencies and compete internationally.”
