On the morning trading session of October 15th, VietJet Aviation Joint Stock Company’s VJC shares surged to VND 162,800 per share, marking a 6.75% increase from the previous day. VJC has experienced a robust three-day rally, climbing 27% since the beginning of October. Its market capitalization now exceeds VND 96 trillion.
Liquidity also improved, with over 2 million shares traded per session.

In addition to VJC, HDB shares of Ho Chi Minh City Development Commercial Joint Stock Bank, where billionaire Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao serves as Vice Chairwoman of the Board, also saw impressive gains.
During the October 15th trading session, HDB shares rose to VND 33,350 per share, a 2.14% increase from the previous day.

Alongside the stock price surge, billionaire Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao’s wealth has also accelerated rapidly.
Currently, she holds 47.47 million VJC shares of Vietjet and, through Huong Duong Sunny Investment Co., controls an additional 155 million VJC shares. The total value of her 202.4 million VJC shares is estimated at nearly VND 33 trillion.
At HDBank, her personal holdings and those through Sovico Corporation amount to approximately 526.7 million shares, currently valued at around VND 17.5 trillion.
According to Forbes’ real-time rankings, Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao’s net worth now stands at $4 billion, making her the 994th richest person globally. This reflects a $353 million increase from the previous day, equivalent to over VND 9 trillion.
