As a strategic joint venture between T&T Group and YCH Group (Singapore), Asia’s leading supply chain solutions provider with nearly 70 years of expertise, Vietnam SuperPort™ is more than a $300 million logistics infrastructure project. It symbolizes the fusion of Vietnamese innovation with international supply chain management excellence.

A Strategic Link in ASEAN’s Smart Logistics Network

Vietnam SuperPort™ emerged from the ASEAN BAC’s SGConnect™ (Smart Growth Connect) initiative, designed to alleviate urban pressures in developing cities through Smart Growth Centers across ASEAN. Within this framework, the ASEAN Smart Logistics Network (ASLN) plays a pivotal role, fostering seamless regional and global supply chain connectivity.

As ASLN’s first “super port,” Vietnam SuperPort™ serves as a multimodal logistics hub, connecting China-Southeast Asia trade routes to global markets via road, rail, air, and sea. Its strategic role enhances cross-border integration, enabling faster, smarter, and more efficient supply chains.

Strategically located in the Northern Economic Corridor, Vietnam SuperPort™ links 20 industrial zones to major ports and airports, including Hai Phong and Noi Bai, extending to Yunnan and Kunming, China. Leveraging YCH Group’s 70-year logistics legacy, it connects to global supply hubs in China, India, and Southeast Asia.

Pioneering Innovation in Logistics

Guided by the principles of “Connectivity, Intelligence, and Sustainability,” Vietnam SuperPort™ leads in digital and green logistics transformation. At the 2024 Vietnam International Innovation Expo, it unveiled a comprehensive digital roadmap to elevate Vietnam’s logistics connectivity. This year, it showcased AI-driven solutions to optimize logistics operations.

A highlight was its next-gen AI initiative for the Extended Air Cargo Terminal (OACT), developed with Google, Kyndryl, and supported by the Singapore Government. This AI system automates document verification, integrates with X-ray scanners to detect prohibited items, and enhances accuracy while reducing manual checks, ensuring compliance with international standards.

Another innovation is the logistics platform co-developed with Vietnam Post Logistics, Techcombank, Visa, and Doxa (Singapore). This platform enables SMEs to digitize orders, payments, and real-time tracking, while integrating bonded warehouses, transportation, and financial services to streamline operations and boost global trade participation.

In automation, Vietnam SuperPort™ collaborates with Singapore’s A*STAR to deploy AI-powered robots for OACT, including Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGVs), robotic loaders, and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs). These solutions enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and strengthen competitive advantages.

Dr. Yap Kwong Weng, CEO of Vietnam SuperPort™, stated: “As a regional hub for modern and sustainable logistics, we are committed to partnering with the Vietnamese Government and global stakeholders to drive digital transformation, enhance competitiveness, and support local businesses.”
