The MPV segment in China is buzzing with excitement as Wuling (SGMW) introduces the all-new Wuling Xingguang 730 (Starlight 730), a 7-seater MPV designed to captivate the market. Positioned as China’s most affordable and appealing MPV, the Xingguang 730 has quickly gained attention for its modern design, practical features, and accessible price point.
The 2026 Wuling Xingguang 730 is now available for pre-order in four variants, priced between 76,800 – 112,800 CNY (approximately $39,000 – $58,000 USD). It targets families and budget-conscious buyers seeking a versatile, fuel-efficient, and family-friendly MPV.
Built on the innovative Tianyu platform, the Xingguang 730 integrates the advanced Lingxi Power 3.0 hybrid engine and next-gen Shenlian battery, delivering exceptional performance and durability. Its exterior stands out with a sleek fox-eye grille, slim LED headlights, and electric sliding doors—a feature typically reserved for premium MPVs.

Measuring 4,910 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, 1,770 mm in height, and with a 2,910 mm wheelbase, the Xingguang 730 offers a spacious interior for all seven passengers.
The minimalist cabin features a floating digital instrument cluster, a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and seamless smartphone connectivity. The 2+2+3 seating arrangement includes fully reclining front seats, second-row seats with dual armrests and multi-angle adjustments, and a 4/6 split-folding third row, expanding cargo capacity from 315 liters to 1,202 liters.
The Xingguang 730 also boasts 25 storage compartments and 4 ISOFIX points, emphasizing family safety and convenience.

Wuling offers three powertrain options: gasoline, plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and pure electric (EV).
The PHEV variant pairs a 1.5L gasoline engine with a 4th-gen 10-in-1 electric motor, achieving 5.3 L/100 km fuel efficiency on empty battery, 125 km electric range, and a combined 1,100 km range (CLTC).
The EV model features a 134 hp electric motor, 60 kWh Shenlian battery, 500 km range (CLTC), and 2C fast charging, adding 200 km range in just 15 minutes.
The traditional gasoline version uses a 174 hp 1.5L engine with a 6-speed manual or CVT, catering to buyers prioritizing reliability and low maintenance costs.
With its competitive pricing and versatile configurations, the 2026 Wuling Xingguang 730 is poised to dominate China’s affordable MPV market.
