On the afternoon of October 17th, Le Quang Manh, Standing Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office, chaired a press conference to announce the agenda for the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Quang Manh emphasized the special significance of this session, as the National Assembly will not only carry out its regular agenda but also conduct a comprehensive review of the 15th term. The preparatory work has been meticulously executed under the close guidance of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, with specialized conferences held for professional delegates to discuss and provide feedback on all content to be presented to the National Assembly for consideration and approval. The National Assembly Office has proactively coordinated with relevant agencies to review and refine the preparations, ensuring high-quality service for the session.

According to the schedule, the 10th session will commence on the morning of October 20th and is expected to conclude on December 11th, 2025, at the National Assembly House in Hanoi, with a total working period of approximately 40 days. This session is the largest in scale and workload since the beginning of the term.

Focus on Legislation and Term Review

Information from the National Assembly Office indicates that this session is expected to consider and decide on 66 items and groups of items, including 49 draft laws, 4 resolutions related to legislative work, and 13 groups of items concerning socio-economics, the state budget, supervision, and other critical issues.

Notably, this session features the highest number of legislative items since the start of the term, with 49 draft laws and 4 resolutions submitted for the National Assembly’s consideration and approval. Additionally, the National Assembly will discuss and decide on socio-economic and state budget matters, as well as review a resolution on the supervision of the implementation of environmental protection policies and laws since the Environmental Protection Law 2020 took effect.

The session will also serve as a comprehensive review of the 2021-2026 term, with the National Assembly examining work reports from the President, the Government, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, the Council for Ethnic Affairs, National Assembly committees, the Supreme People’s Court, the Supreme People’s Procuracy, and the State Audit Office. The summary report of the 15th National Assembly’s term will be discussed, along with the adoption of a resolution on the term’s review.
