During his visit to the Wave Festival, the centerpiece of Vietnam Card Day 2025 organized by Tien Phong Newspaper and Napas, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed his profound sense of “the pulse of a Vietnam striving boldly to achieve its vision of strength and prosperity in the new era.” Beyond being a celebration for the youth, the event serves as a platform for leaders, managers, and the community to witness the remarkable strides of the banking and finance sector in the nation’s digital transformation journey.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the figures recorded at the event vividly illustrate the emerging consumer trends. Hundreds of thousands of cashless technology experiences and tens of millions of social media engagements underscore the growing popularity of digital payments, synonymous with convenience, security, and public trust.
He emphasized that Vietnam Card Day 2025 coincides with the culmination of the five-year plan for non-cash payment development (2021-2025), amplifying the campaign’s significance. This success contributes to the National Comprehensive Finance Strategy by 2025, with a vision for 2030, aiming for at least 80% of adults to have non-cash transaction accounts, growing at an annual rate of 20-25%.
The Deputy Prime Minister praised the slogan “One Touch – A World of Trust” as a seamless blend of technology and trust, reflecting the government’s commitment to safeguarding users and businesses through an increasingly robust legal framework and security infrastructure. “Non-cash payments are an irreversible trend, a mainstream current in all economic activities that Vietnam has swiftly embraced,” he stated.

To further promote non-cash payments, the Deputy Prime Minister urged the banking and finance sector to intensify technology infrastructure investment, expand electronic payment acceptance points across all business sectors, and enhance security to maximize customer protection. He also highlighted the importance of international connectivity, digital workforce training, and raising societal awareness about modern payment methods.
