Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung highlighted that despite challenges—resource shortages and successive natural disasters—the province achieved positive outcomes. These include GRDP growth, budget revenue, investment attraction, and advancements in culture, society, and security.

While growth fell short of the Provincial People’s Council’s target, it approached the government’s goal. Budget revenue exceeded the estimate by 13%, and investment neared 1 billion USD. Additionally, Nghe An successfully piloted a two-tier local governance model.

Secretary Trung urged the province to maximize efforts to meet 2025 growth targets, particularly in sectors with untapped potential. He emphasized efficient budget management, aiming for 26 trillion VND in revenue, and prioritizing disaster recovery funding.
