Last week (October 13-19), the People's Councils of Son La Province, Khanh Hoa Province, and Hue City conducted personnel appointments within their respective jurisdictions. Additionally, Ha Tinh, Lang Son, and Ca Mau held conferences to announce decisions regarding personnel changes.

Son La Welcomes Two New Deputy Chairmen of the Provincial People’s Council

On October 18, the 15th session of the Son La Provincial People’s Council (term 2021 – 2026) held its 35th specialized meeting to review and decide on matters within its jurisdiction as prescribed by law.

According to Son La Newspaper, the meeting relieved Mr. Cha A Cua from his position as Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council due to his reassignment by competent authorities. The council then elected Mr. Vi Duc Tho, a member of the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La Province, as the new Deputy Chairman. Additionally, Mr. Ha Trung Chien, a member of the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council of To Hieu Ward, was elected as Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.

Mr. Phan Thien Dinh Appointed Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee

On October 17, during the 27th specialized meeting, the Hue City People’s Council voted to relieve Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong from his position as Chairman of the Hue City People’s Committee for the 2021 – 2026 term. Mr. Phuong has been reassigned by the Politburo as Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 – 2030 term.

At the same meeting, the Hue City People’s Council unanimously elected Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Deputy Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee and Head of the Economic and Budget Committee of the City People’s Council, as the new Chairman of the Hue City People’s Committee for the 2021 – 2026 term.

Mr. Lam Dong Assumes Role as Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Council

On the afternoon of October 16, the 7th session of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Council (term 2021 – 2026) held a specialized meeting to address personnel matters within its jurisdiction and discuss other important issues.

During the meeting, the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Council elected and passed a resolution confirming the election of Mr. Lam Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, as the new Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council for the 2021 – 2026 term. The resolution was approved with 100% of the votes from the attending delegates.

Ha Tinh and Lang Son Appoint New Heads of the Provincial Party Committee’s Internal Affairs Commission

On the morning of October 17, the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee’s Internal Affairs Commission held a conference to announce personnel decisions made by the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board.

According to Ha Tinh Newspaper, during the conference, a representative from the Provincial Party Committee’s Organization Board announced the decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Tran Nhat Tan, a member of the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, as the new Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Internal Affairs Commission. The decision takes effect from October 17, 2025.

On the same afternoon, the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee’s Internal Affairs Commission held a conference to announce personnel decisions made by the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board.

During the conference, a leader from the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee’s Organization Board announced the decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Luong Trong Quynh, a member of the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, as the new Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Internal Affairs Commission, effective from October 16, 2025, for a term of 5 years.

Appointment of the Head of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee’s Organization Board

On October 17, the Standing Board of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce personnel decisions regarding the Provincial Party Committee’s Organization Board.

According to Nhan Dan Newspaper, during the conference, a representative from the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee’s Organization Board announced the decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Phan Thanh Duy, a member of the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Head of the Provincial Inspection Commission, as the new Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Organization Board.
