The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has tasked the Department of Agriculture and Environment with developing a plan to promote the achievements and future directions in environmental protection, energy security, green transition, and sustainable development. This initiative is closely aligned with advancements in science, technology, and digital transformation within the sector.

Ho Chi Minh City inaugurates a waste-to-energy plant at the Northwest Waste Treatment Complex.

The Department of Education and Training is responsible for planning and implementing educational programs to raise awareness and impart knowledge and skills related to environmental protection, climate change adaptation, green transition, and sustainable development across the education sector.

These initiatives will be integrated into curricula, materials, and extracurricular activities tailored to different educational levels and training programs.

The Department of Science and Technology will develop a plan to highlight achievements and future directions in key technology development, fostering research, application, and innovation in science and technology to support green transition and sustainable development.

Additionally, the department will promote the outcomes of applied scientific research programs in energy and environmental fields.

Efforts will be intensified to communicate scientific, technological, and innovative activities linked to socioeconomic development goals, promoting inclusive and sustainable growth. This includes science and technology solutions that contribute to environmental protection, circular economy, green transition, and climate change adaptation.

The Department of Industry and Trade will devise a plan to communicate the progress and future strategies for ensuring national energy security and advancing nuclear power development.

They will also inform and guide the community on efficient and sustainable energy use, ensuring a stable energy supply for sustainable development.

The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee requires all these tasks to be completed by October 30.
