On October 19th, in Hưng Yên, the Ministry of Public Security held the groundbreaking ceremony for the PVF Stadium, a 60,000-seat venue featuring Vietnam’s most advanced dome technology and world-leading innovations. General Secretary Tô Lâm attended and initiated the construction process.
In his opening remarks, General Lương Tam Quang, Politburo Member and Minister of Public Security, stated that the PVF Stadium project, part of the People’s Public Security Sports Complex, is a vital cultural and sports facility. It aims to fulfill the aspirations of advancing elite sports within the People’s Public Security and Vietnamese athletics as a whole.

Representing the general contractor, Mr. Phạm Thiếu Hoa, Chairman of Vinhomes JSC, emphasized that the PVF Stadium is envisioned as Asia’s premier sports facility within a 92-hectare sports and service complex. With 60,000 seats and FIFA certification, it will host major international events, including the World Cup.
“This stadium is Vietnam’s first to feature an automated retractable roof, modeled after the AT&T Stadium in the United States, currently the world’s largest retractable-roof venue. The PVF Stadium’s signature retractable dome can fully open or close in just 12 to 20 minutes—a first for Vietnam,” Mr. Hoa noted.
The PVF Stadium is poised to become Asia’s leading sports facility.
Spanning over 55,000 m², the stadium accommodates 60,000 spectators across four main stands (A, B, C, D) and specialized zones: technical operations, security, broadcast control center, press area, player facilities, VIP lounge, and dining services.
Beyond the main arena, the project includes an 18-hectare outdoor plaza and modern parking area. The PTFE roof material blocks UV rays, reduces noise, enhances airflow, conserves energy, and ensures long-term durability.
The pitch utilizes hybrid modular turf (natural grass blended with synthetic fibers), offering enhanced durability, rapid drainage, high load capacity, and easy maintenance. Each turf panel is independently removable, enabling seamless conversion for professional sports events or national/international cultural programs.
