The Mitsubishi Destinator is generating significant interest among consumers in Indonesia and Vietnam, with its anticipated launch later this year. Not only does the Destinator offer competitive pricing within the 7-seater SUV segment, but it also promises remarkably low maintenance costs. A representative from PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia shared with Kompas that the total scheduled maintenance cost for the Mitsubishi Destinator over 5 years or 100,000 km remains quite affordable.
Specifically, according to Mitsubishi Indonesia, the total cost for services and replacement of fast-wearing parts over this 5-year period is approximately 7,866 million rupiah (around 12.5 million VND). This averages out to roughly 2.5 million VND per year for maintenance, a highly competitive figure in the 7-seater SUV segment, especially considering the vehicle’s features and technology.

The Destinator is equipped with a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine (4B40 MIVEC), delivering a maximum power output of 163 PS (160 hp) at 5,000 rpm and peak torque of 250 Nm between 2,500 and 4,000 rpm. This power is transmitted to the front wheels via a CVT automatic transmission. The vehicle offers 5 driving modes.

The vehicle’s overall dimensions are 4,680 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width, 1,780 mm in height, and a ground clearance of 244 mm. Compared to the Xpander Cross (4,500 x 1,800 x 1,750 mm, 225 mm ground clearance), the Destinator is significantly larger in all aspects, with its ground clearance even surpassing many D-segment SUVs on the market.
The interior is a notable highlight, featuring a dual-screen setup that includes an 8-inch digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The overall cabin design is similar to the Xforce. Advanced technology in this model includes ADAS and a 360-degree camera system.
