Last month, in Hoan Lao Commune (Quang Tri Province), Son Hai Group held the inauguration ceremony for the 3.24 km Sen Bang Road – a project fully funded by the company with a total investment of nearly 12 billion VND, completed in just 20 days. This is a meaningful gift for the local community, contributing to improved travel conditions and the rural landscape.

Before the upgrade, the road connecting Sen Bang Village had existed for many years but had severely deteriorated. The road surface was cracked, muddy and slippery during the rainy season, and dusty in the dry season, significantly affecting the daily lives and trade of hundreds of households. The need for road repair and upgrade had been long-standing but lacked adequate resources.

Understanding this challenge, in early August 2025, Son Hai Group submitted a proposal to fully fund the road renovation. The proposal quickly gained approval from local authorities.

Over 3km of Road Completed in Just 20 Days

Remarkably, the entire upgrade of Sen Bang Road was executed and completed in just over 20 days, from August 22 to September 12. This achievement is a testament to the tireless efforts of Son Hai Group’s staff, engineers, and workers, along with the active support of local authorities and the community’s consensus. It reflects a high level of commitment, professional construction management, and the dedication to swiftly provide a modern road for the locals.

The new road will make travel safer and more convenient for residents, fostering trade, local economic development, and enhancing their quality of life.

According to Son Hai Group, the new road features a 6–6.5 m wide base and a 5.8–6 m wide surface, constructed with 5 cm thick C16 asphalt concrete on a 15 cm thick crushed stone subbase. The entire 50 cm thick old foundation was removed, treated, and compacted to achieve K≥98% before laying the new surface.

The project also includes a 6 cm thick concrete drainage system (grade 150) to enhance structural durability and long-term road protection.

At the inauguration, Mr. Nguyễn Viết Hải, Chairman of Son Hai Group, stated that the project is a token of gratitude to Quang Tri Province. Beyond being a transportation route, it demonstrates the company’s commitment to community development and local socio-economic growth.

Residents of Sen Bang Village expressed their joy at the road’s completion, which facilitates easier travel, inter-commune connectivity, agricultural trade, and improved living standards.
