Isuzu Celebrates 30 Years of Excellence in Vietnam

Isuzu recently celebrated its 30th anniversary in the Vietnamese market. The event was graced by representatives from the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Register under the Ministry of Construction, the Industry Agency of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, and leaders from Isuzu Corporation in Japan.

Over three decades in Vietnam, Isuzu has delivered sustainable, fuel-efficient, and reliable transportation solutions to its customers. By September 2025, the company had produced 129,039 vehicles, offering over 40 product lines ranging from light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks, specialized vehicles, bus chassis, tractor heads, to the Isuzu D-Max pickup truck and the 7-seater Isuzu mu-X SUV. Isuzu Vietnam’s dealership network has also expanded to over 29 authorized dealers and service centers nationwide.

Mr. Wataru Nakano, General Director of Isuzu Vietnam, shared: “Throughout our 30-year journey, Isuzu Vietnam has consistently listened to our customers’ real needs and innovated to provide practical, sustainable transportation solutions. This commitment has solidified our leadership in Vietnam’s commercial vehicle sector.”

Representing the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee, praised Isuzu’s contributions: “We highly appreciate Isuzu’s role not only in production and business but also in job creation, workforce training, and technology transfer.” In 2024, Isuzu Vietnam contributed over 1.5 trillion VND to the state budget in Ho Chi Minh City. The company has created nearly 1,800 jobs across its factory and dealership network, providing high-quality human resources for the automotive industry.

Moving forward, Isuzu Vietnam is strategically transitioning from a vehicle provider to a “comprehensive transportation solutions provider,” offering full lifecycle support for its vehicles.

At the event, Mr. Shinsuke Minami emphasized the mid-term plan “ISUZU TRANSFORMATION,” aimed at becoming a global commercial transportation solutions provider: “Isuzu is committed to supporting Vietnamese customers in adapting to the increasingly diverse transportation needs, contributing to a sustainable future for the industry.”
