In partnership with Grab users, the Vững-Xanh Program focuses on reforestation, energy conservation, and emission reduction initiatives. This effort aligns with Grab’s commitment to environmental protection and community well-being, fostering sustainable urban development in Vietnam.

In 2025, the program aims to plant 100,000 trees in Da Nang and Khanh Hoa, install over 210,000 improved cookstoves, and replace 6 million incandescent bulbs with energy-efficient LED lights in remote households.

Mr. Ma Tuan Trong, Managing Director of Grab Vietnam, stated, “Each year, we witness growing user support for environmental initiatives, inspiring us to expand our efforts. Beyond reforestation, this year we’re introducing emission reduction and energy-saving projects. This reflects our long-term commitment to collaborating with stakeholders for a sustainable future. Leveraging technology and connectivity, we believe the Vững-Xanh Program will deliver significant environmental and community benefits.”

The program officially launched with a signing ceremony for the Grab For Good Forest project between Grab Vietnam, the Da Nang Forest Protection Department, and the Sustainable Living Community Support Fund (Song Fund). The event was attended by Ms. Le Thuy Trinh, Deputy Director of Da Nang’s Agriculture and Environment Department.

Mr. Vo Hung Nhan, Director of Da Nang’s Forest Protection Department, remarked, “Climate change is intensifying extreme weather, floods, and landslides—as evidenced by four major storms in October 2025. This underscores the consequences of unsustainable resource use and calls for urgent environmental action. With 20,000 trees contributed by Grab Vietnam and users through the Song Fund, 18 hectares of Phu Ninh Reservoir’s protective forest will be restored, supporting the government’s One Billion Trees initiative and enhancing climate resilience.”

Under the agreement, the parties will immediately plant 20,000 trees at Phu Ninh Reservoir’s protective forest, expanding forest cover, safeguarding groundwater, and preventing soil erosion. They will also collaborate on research, biodiversity conservation, community awareness campaigns, and resource mobilization for forest preservation.

Beyond Da Nang, the program will plant 80,000 trees in Khanh Hoa’s Tan Giang – Thuan Nam protective forest, a critical area for ecosystem protection and climate resilience.

In 2024, with Grab users and partners, the Grab For Good Forest project planted over 171,000 trees and 150,000 seed bombs in Nui Chua National Park, Thuan Nam coastal forest, and Tan Giang upstream forest. These efforts restored ecosystems, protected water sources, and supported community livelihoods.
