Dr. Vo Tri Thanh, Director of the Institute for Brand and Competition Strategy Research, emphasizes, “The Autumn Fair is a pivotal event, serving as a long-term highlight in the nation’s economic integration and development journey.” |
The Autumn Fair 2025 is scheduled to take place from October 26 to November 4, 2025, at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC) in Dong Anh, Hanoi.
Dr. Vo Tri Thanh, Director of the Institute for Brand and Competition Strategy Research, highlights the fair’s significance, stating, “It’s not just about domestic trade connections; it’s about positioning Vietnam on the global stage through products, investment activities, and bringing the world to Vietnam. The ambitious goals and large-scale organization reflect a strategic vision to create a deep and impactful trade promotion space.”
“From a macroeconomic perspective, the immediate focus must be on stronger investments, particularly in attracting high-quality capital from both domestic and international sources. Alongside investment, ‘smart’ consumption stimulation is a key driver for achieving rapid and sustainable growth. By aligning these specific goals with trade promotion programs like the Autumn Fair, we create a critical test to evaluate organizational effectiveness, connectivity, and the ability to generate tangible value,” Dr. Thanh adds.
He expresses confidence that the fair will provide a comprehensive assessment of trade promotion quality, offering practical lessons to refine both short-term and long-term investment and promotion activities. With successful execution, the Autumn Fair could become a significant event for the 2026–2030 period, enhancing Vietnam’s position on the global investment and trade map.
From a local perspective, Ha Vu Son, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade in Can Tho City, views the Autumn Fair 2025 as more than a routine trade promotion task. “It’s a golden opportunity for Can Tho businesses to showcase their quality and credibility while expanding partnerships and distribution channels in the northern market.”
According to Mr. Son, the Autumn Fair 2025 is expected to be a hub for the finest products from various regions, fostering connections between businesses, investors, and consumers.
The Department of Industry and Trade outlines three strategic tasks for participating units and businesses to maximize effectiveness:
First, ensure product quality and local identity. Selected products must embody the cultural essence and highest standards of the region. Each product will serve as a “brand ambassador,” narrating the story of Can Tho’s people and land. This approach helps local goods stand out, fostering pride and consumer trust.
Second, enhance brand communication and promotion. The current media conference is a crucial step in spreading the message, “Can Tho Specialties – Western Identity in the Heart of the Capital.”
Third, elevate professionalism in trade promotion. Businesses must meticulously prepare product profiles, negotiation skills, promotional materials, and logistics. The goal is not just on-site sales but also establishing long-term, sustainable partnerships post-fair.

A Cultural Bridge Between Vietnam and the World
At the Autumn Fair 2025, India is represented by a delegation of 15 businesses. Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman of India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML), Founder and Chairman of Expo Bazaar, and CEO of the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), expresses admiration for the fair’s scale and significance. “It’s not only a major trade promotion platform but also a cultural bridge between Vietnam and the world.”
He considers this a particularly important opportunity for India. Under the coordination of IEML and Expo Bazaar, India plans to bring one of the largest international business delegations to the fair.
At the Autumn Fair 2025, Indian businesses aim not only to showcase products but also to seek potential suppliers from Vietnam for key markets such as the U.S., Europe, and India.
Mr. Rakesh Kumar notes the many similarities between Vietnam and India: both boast rich cultures, long-standing handicraft traditions, and a deep respect for human values in every product. He believes that when businesses from both countries connect, they will exchange not only goods but also creativity, stories, and cultural identities.
“Given the event’s exceptional scale, I am confident the Autumn Fair 2025 will open a new chapter in Vietnam-India trade relations. It will also be a platform for Indian businesses to find a dynamic, reliable, and strategically visionary partner in Vietnam,” Mr. Rakesh Kumar concludes.
Representing technology enterprises at the fair, Ms. Do Thi Thu Huong, Deputy General Director of Vinphaco, highlights the event as a rare opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to promote their brands, expand markets, and showcase their research and production capabilities.
She also hopes the fair will serve as a forum for Vietnamese businesses to share innovative ideas, products, and models, fostering collaboration and creating a sustainable development ecosystem. This will contribute to the recovery and growth of the national economy.
