Following its merger with Long An province, Tay Ninh now enjoys expanded development opportunities, particularly suited for high-tech agricultural models, especially in livestock farming.

Recently, Mr. Nguyen Van Ut, Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, met with representatives from the Royal De Heus Group (Netherlands) and Hung Nhon Group (Vietnam) to discuss investment plans for a series of high-tech agricultural projects in the province for the 2025–2030 period. De Heus is a long-established agricultural conglomerate in the Netherlands, while Hung Nhon specializes in high-tech agriculture in Vietnam.

During the meeting, both groups outlined a strategic partnership to develop a closed-loop high-tech agricultural ecosystem in Tay Ninh, encompassing raw material zoning, breeding, livestock farming, processing, and export.
The total investment for the 12 projects is expected to reach 10,000 billion VND.

Upon completion, the projects are anticipated to position Tay Ninh as a leading high-tech agricultural hub in Southeast Asia. By 2030, the initiative is projected to contribute approximately 2 billion USD to the De Heus–Hung Nhon joint venture.

A key highlight of the investment is Tay Ninh’s first high-tech poultry slaughtering and processing plant, with a capacity of 52 million birds per year and 132,000 tons of products annually.

The production line, imported from Europe, meets international standards such as Halal, ISO 22000, and FSSC 22000. Scheduled for completion by late 2026, the facility targets demanding export markets including the EU, Middle East, Japan, and South Korea.

The projects not only employ modern livestock farming technology but also focus on developing clean raw material zones, ensuring control over pesticide residues and mycotoxins in animal feed.

Developing a closed-value chain from production to processing is seen as a proactive move to align with global consumption trends. According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, in August 2025, 28% of Vietnam’s meat exports were processed products, indicating a growing demand for value-added food items.

Early investment in modern processing facilities will enhance the competitiveness of Tay Ninh’s livestock sector and the broader Southeast region.

Tay Ninh authorities have pledged to “roll out the red carpet” for De Heus and Hung Nhon, ensuring optimal conditions for swift project implementation. Chairman Nguyen Van Ut expressed hope that these pioneering projects will establish Tay Ninh’s agricultural brand on the international stage.

In addition to Tay Ninh, the De Heus–Hung Nhon joint venture is also implementing high-tech agricultural complexes in the Central Highlands provinces of Lam Dong, Dak Lak, and Gia Lai. Projects in Dak Lak and Lam Dong are already operational, while the Gia Lai project is set to launch in early 2026.
