Son Hai Group Sponsors 100% Rapid Completion of Quang Tri Road in Just 20 Days

A groundbreaking rural road project in Quảng Trị, sponsored and executed by Sơn Hải Corporation, has been completed in a remarkable 20-day timeframe, setting a new standard for efficiency and execution.

This project involves the upgrade of the Sen Bang road in Hoan Lao Commune, Bo Trach District, spanning a total length of 3.24 km with a total investment of nearly 12 billion VND, fully funded by the sponsoring enterprise.

Handed over in mid-September, the project has addressed the urgent travel needs of hundreds of local households. Previously, the road had severely deteriorated, causing significant difficulties for daily life and trade.

In terms of scale and technical specifications, the road is designed with a foundation width ranging from 6 to 6.5 meters and a road surface width of 5.8 to 6 meters. A critical component was the treatment of the old road foundation. The entire 50 cm of the old foundation was removed, processed, and recompacted to achieve a density of K≥98% before constructing subsequent layers.

The road surface is paved with 5 cm of C16 asphalt concrete, laid over a 15 cm layer of crushed stone. To ensure long-term durability and effective drainage, the project includes a reinforced concrete longitudinal drainage system.

The most notable aspect of the project is its construction timeline. The entire project was completed in just over 20 days, from August 22 to September 12. According to the enterprise representative, this achievement is attributed to the continuous efforts of the team of officers, engineers, and workers, along with the cooperation of local authorities and the support of the community.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Hoang Nam, Standing Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee, acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and responsibility of Son Hai Group. He emphasized that the project not only serves the travel and trade needs of the locals but also contributes to the completion of the new rural development criteria, demonstrating the enterprise’s commitment to the community.

Provincial leaders also expressed hope that Son Hai Group will continue to support local development through other meaningful social welfare programs.

On behalf of the enterprise, Mr. Nguyen Viet Hai, Chairman of Son Hai Group, shared that the project is a token of gratitude, reflecting the group’s dedication and responsibility to their hometown of Quang Tri. According to him, this is more than just a road; it is a testament to the business philosophy of integrating with the community, reinforcing Son Hai’s reputation in infrastructure development.

Previously Invested 40 Billion VND to Build “Village of Kindness”

In 2022, Son Hai Group invested nearly 40 billion VND to construct the “Son Hai Village of Kindness” in Huong Lap Commune, Huong Hoa District, an area prone to landslides that threaten residents’ lives.

The 14.48-hectare project includes 56 sturdy stilt houses (each 54 m²) for 56 households. After nearly two years of construction, by August 2024, the new residential area was completed and welcomed its first residents.

In addition to housing, Son Hai also built a primary school, a kindergarten meeting standards, and a community center. Notably, the enterprise donated two terraced rice fields spanning over 7.5 hectares, enriched with humus soil, allowing residents to cultivate their own crops and ensure long-term livelihoods.
