A 2024 ASEAN Consumer Psychology Study by UOB and BCG revealed that Vietnamese consumers spend more on experiences like vacations, fine dining, concerts, and festivals compared to regional peers. 42% of Vietnamese respondents increased spending in these areas, versus ASEAN’s 35%. Gen Z leads with 47% spending more on experiences.
