Earlier this week, pork prices in several regions began to rise after weeks of decline, with increases ranging from 1,000 to 2,000 VND per kilogram. Currently, pork prices in many areas remain stable, but the Mekong Delta region has seen a further increase of up to 2,000 VND, reaching 49,000 to 52,000 VND per kilogram.
At present, pork prices in the Northern region fluctuate between 52,000 and 55,000 VND per kilogram, in the North Central region between 51,000 and 53,000 VND per kilogram, in the South Central region between 48,000 and 50,000 VND per kilogram, and in the Southeast region between 48,000 and 54,000 VND per kilogram.
Pork prices are trending upward
According to insights from livestock companies, pork prices in the Mekong Delta region are typically 1,000 to 2,000 VND lower than in the South Central and Southeast regions. However, this time, the price of grade 2 pork has surpassed these regions by 1,000 VND, likely due to localized supply shortages.
