Billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong’s Wife Joins Top 5 Richest, Closing In on Madame Phuong Thao; TCBS Chairman Nguyen Xuan Minh Enters Top 30

Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong's assets continue to dominate the lead, valued at nearly 500 trillion VND, equivalent to approximately $20 billion. This staggering figure currently accounts for over 55% of the total value of the Top 20 wealthiest individuals.

As of October 24, 2025, the combined wealth of Vietnam’s 20 richest stock market individuals reached VND 884.6 trillion, marking a VND 112.3 trillion increase since the month’s start and a VND 340.2 trillion rise year-to-date.

Vingroup Chairman Pham Nhat Vuong retains the top position with a net worth of VND 491.8 trillion, surging by nearly VND 100 trillion (42%) in October alone. His wealth now constitutes over 55% of the Top 20’s total value, equivalent to nearly $20 billion.

Pham Thu Huong (Vuong’s wife) and Pham Thuy Hang (Huong’s sister) both saw a 42% monthly increase, with assets of VND 37.2 trillion and VND 24.9 trillion, respectively.

Notably, Huong ranks 5th, trailing Vietjet Air Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao by only VND 3.5 trillion. Since the year’s start, Huong has climbed 12 spots to enter Vietnam’s Top 5 wealthiest individuals.

Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao recorded the second-highest growth at 38% this month, reaching VND 40.7 trillion.

Hoa Phat Chairman Tran Dinh Long and his wife Vu Thi Hien experienced a 7% decline, with assets now at VND 52.3 trillion and VND 13.9 trillion, respectively.

On October 20, Vietnam’s stock market plunged, with the VNIndex dropping 95 points and numerous stocks hitting floor prices.

Among the Top 20, 13 individuals faced losses, including the Longs, Do Anh Tuan (Sunshine Group), Ho Hung Anh (Techcombank) and family, Nguyen Dang Quang (Masan Group), Nguyen Van Tuan (Gelex), Ngo Chi Dung (VPBank) and family, and Bui Thanh Nhon (Novaland).

The remaining seven, aside from Vuong’s family and Thao, include Nguyen Duc Tai and Tran Le Quan (The Gioi Di Dong), Truong Gia Binh (FPT), and others.

TCBS Chairman Nguyen Xuan Minh debuted in the Top 30 with nearly VND 5.8 trillion, following TCBS’s HOSE listing on October 21 at VND 46,800/share. By October 24, TCX closed at VND 46,950, near its IPO price.
