Following the farewell to the Super Cub 50 in June 2024, the Japanese automaker swiftly introduced its captivating successors: the Super Cub 110 Lite, Cross Cub 110 Lite, and Dio 110 Lite. Launched in October 2025, these models are poised to redefine the urban commuter bike segment.
The introduction of the 110 Lite series is more than a mere replacement. It reflects Honda’s adaptability to Japan’s new regulations while staying true to its philosophy of creating bikes for everyone—simple, easy to ride, fuel-efficient, and durable.
Japan’s stricter emission standards rendered 50cc bikes non-compliant, prompting manufacturers to shift to higher displacements while maintaining fuel efficiency and rider-friendliness.

If Honda brings the 110 Lite series (Super Cub 110 Lite, Cross Cub 110 Lite, and Dio 110 Lite) to Vietnam, they won’t merely be replicas of classic Cub models but strategic additions to the entry-level bike market.
A New “Cub” Generation: Familiar Yet Modern
For fans of the Super Cub 50, the good news is that the “Cub legend” lives on. The Super Cub 110 Lite retains the classic design, compact build, dual seat, and sleek handlebars. The key difference lies in the new 110cc engine, which meets emission standards and delivers approximately 5 horsepower—ideal for urban mobility while remaining fuel-efficient.
Priced at 341,000 yen (around $3,000), it comes in two elegant colors: Virgin Beige and Tasmania Green Metallic, a deep green with cream accents that epitomize the Super Cub’s vintage charm.
The Super Cub 110 Pro Lite, designed for delivery needs, features a spacious front basket and chrome rear rack. Priced at 385,000 yen (around $3,400), it’s available exclusively in Seychelles Blue, blending professionalism with Japanese urban sophistication.

Cross Cub 110 Lite: Rugged, Adventurous, Yet Approachable
While the Super Cub embodies elegance, the Cross Cub 110 Lite exudes ruggedness and adventure. Its robust frame, high fenders, and prominent front end evoke a mini adventure bike designed for city exploration.
Available in three bold colors—Bonnie Blue, Harvest Beige, and Steel Green Metallic—it blends retro and modern aesthetics. Priced at 401,500 yen (around $3,500), it strikes a balance between utility, durability, and Honda’s signature reliability.
Though not a high-performance bike, its practicality, sturdy design, and affordability make it ideal for those seeking a laid-back yet stylish ride.

Dio 110 Lite: Compact, Modern, and Most Affordable
Targeting younger and female riders, the Dio 110 Lite is the most affordable model in the 110cc lineup. Priced at 239,800 yen (around $2,100), it features a youthful design reminiscent of the Honda Vision, popular in Vietnam for years.
Offered in Candy Lustre Red, Pearl Snowflake White, and Matte Galaxy Black, it caters to diverse tastes. Despite its low price, it retains Honda’s core qualities: smooth operation, fuel efficiency, and longevity.

110cc: The New Standard for Japanese Commuters
Under Japan’s new regulations, 50cc bikes no longer meet emission standards, requiring riders to obtain motorcycle licenses for replacements. This shift, though significant, is softened by Honda’s 110cc “Lite” series—lightweight, easy to handle, and beginner-friendly.
By adhering to its “friendly and practical” design philosophy, Honda reinforces its position as a brand for the masses. The new models not only comply with strict emissions but also offer affordable, durable options for young riders, students, and office workers.
From the Super Cub 110 Lite to the Dio 110 Lite, Honda demonstrates that even as the 50cc era ends, its “bike for every home” spirit endures. These 110cc models not only meet legal requirements but also embody Honda’s timeless values: simplicity, efficiency, and unwavering companionship on every journey.
