Suzuki has officially unveiled the new Avenis 125 scooter in Japan, set to hit the market on October 28, 2025. Positioned as an affordable urban scooter, the Avenis 125 targets young riders seeking agility, fuel efficiency, and a sporty aesthetic. The suggested retail price remains at ¥284,900 (approximately $480 USD).

The Avenis 125 boasts compact dimensions of 1,895 x 710 x 1,175 mm, a wheelbase of 1,265 mm, a seat height of 780 mm, and ground clearance of 160 mm. Weighing just 107 kg, it’s one of the lightest scooters in its class, ensuring effortless maneuverability in crowded city environments.

Design-wise, the Avenis 125 exudes sportiness with its sleek body lines, sharp creases, and elevated tail section. Both the LED headlamp and taillight enhance visibility while lending a modern, youthful appeal.

Despite its budget-friendly pricing, the Avenis 125 comes packed with features. A digital LCD instrument cluster displays essential metrics like speed, fuel level, and trip distance. The front storage compartment includes a convenient USB charging port, while the 21.5-liter under-seat storage accommodates a ¾ helmet or personal items, catering to daily urban commuting needs.

Powering the Avenis 125 is a 124cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. It delivers a maximum output of 8.58 hp at 6,750 rpm and 10 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm, striking a balance between agility and fuel efficiency for city riding.

The scooter rides on 12-inch front and 10-inch rear wheels, equipped with 90/90-12 44J and 90/100-10 53J tires respectively. Braking duties are handled by a front disc brake and rear drum brake, complemented by a Combined Braking System (CBS) for enhanced safety during emergency stops.

Rider comfort is a priority for Suzuki. The plush, wide seat ensures comfort even on longer rides, while the flat footboard enhances ergonomics and storage flexibility. High-intensity lighting improves night visibility, and side panels protect against minor scratches.

The highlight of this launch is the introduction of three striking color options: Pearl Mira Red/Glass Sparkle Black (BGX) for a sporty vibe, Pearl Glacier White/Glass Sparkle Black (DVX) for elegance, and Glass Sparkle Black (6UX) for minimalist sophistication.

With its competitive pricing, sporty design, comprehensive features, and reliable performance, the Avenis 125 is poised to challenge rivals like the Honda Air Blade and Vario in Asia’s 125cc scooter segment.
