On October 25, 2025, VinFast announced the discovery of several fraudulent fan pages impersonating the company and its authorized dealers and distributors. These fake pages spread false information about promotional programs with the intent to deceive and profit illegally.
In Vietnam, VinFast operates two official fan pages on social media platforms: the VinFast automobile fan page and the VinFast Electric Motorbike fan page.
Over time, VinFast has become a target for impersonation and fraudulent activities. Specifically, the company has identified several fake fan pages using names and branding identical to those of authorized dealers and distributors. These pages post inaccurate information about promotional programs to attract attention and deceive consumers.
Most recently, fraudulent fan pages claiming to represent VinFast advertised a foldable electric vehicle at an unbelievably low price of 286,000 VND. VinFast neither produces such a product nor has any affiliation with these pages. Despite this, the misleading information garnered significant consumer interest, tricking some into sharing personal details and transferring money via chat software to “claim the offer.”
Upon discovering these fraudulent activities, which negatively impacted the brand’s reputation and caused financial losses for customers, VinFast promptly reported the fake fan pages to Facebook for intervention. Additionally, the company issued official warnings on verified platforms to alert consumers.
