At the Japan Mobility Show 2025 in Tokyo, Honda unveiled the Super-One Prototype, a global debut that builds upon the Super EV Concept introduced at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in June. This latest iteration marks a significant step closer to production, with the electric A-segment hatchback’s design fully revealed, showcasing its sporty silhouette.
Honda describes the Super-One as a compact electric vehicle designed to transform daily commuting into an exciting and engaging experience. The name itself reflects the brand’s ambition to surpass conventional standards (“Super”) and deliver a unique value proposition exclusive to Honda (“One”).

Built on Honda’s advanced lightweight N Series platform, the Super-One promises a dynamic and agile driving experience, with its design elements reinforcing this sporty ethos. The vehicle incorporates kei car design cues, including prominent fenders that envelop wide tires, emphasizing its low-slung, wide stance. Subtle aerodynamic enhancements, such as front and rear air ducts, optimize performance while ensuring efficient cooling.
While technical specifications remain undisclosed, Honda teased a Boost Mode feature, exclusively developed for the Super-One, which enhances output. A seven-speed simulated gearbox and Active Sound Control system replicate the visceral engine roar and crisp gear shifts of a traditional multi-gear powertrain, elevating the driving experience.

Inside, the cabin features a clean layout with dual mid-sized screens, maintaining a classic aesthetic. Honda highlights the horizontally oriented dashboard, which minimizes visual clutter and enhances driver focus. Sport-focused seating, asymmetrically accented in blue, adds a distinctive touch to the interior.
Honda plans to launch the production Super-One in Japan starting in 2026, followed by regions with high demand for compact EVs, including the UK and various Asia-Pacific markets. If introduced in Vietnam, the Super-One could rival ultra-compact electric vehicles like the Wuling Mini EV.
