During the meeting, Vietnam Aviation Administration Deputy Director Do Hong Cam highly appreciated the positive contributions of Hongkong Airlines to Vietnam’s aviation industry and the economy as a whole. He expressed his gratitude for the long-standing partnership between the two parties and encouraged the airline to further expand its routes connecting Hong Kong with Vietnam’s prominent destinations such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Phu Quoc.
Mr. Louis Li acknowledged the robust growth of Vietnam’s aviation market in recent years, supported by significant infrastructure projects such as the new terminal in Hanoi and the development of new airports nationwide.
The Vice Chairman of Hongkong Airlines affirmed that Vietnam remains one of the most promising markets in Southeast Asia, and the airline is committed to expanding its presence in the country.
Both parties also discussed potential cooperation opportunities in the development of Long Thanh International Airport and Gia Binh Airport—two key projects expected to strengthen aviation infrastructure and enhance regional connectivity. They reaffirmed the strong partnership between Hongkong Airlines and Vietnam’s aviation sector, laying the foundation for extensive collaboration and sustainable growth in the years to come.
Hongkong Airlines is recognized as the second-largest airline in Hong Kong, following Cathay Pacific. Established in 2001 under the former name CR Airways, the airline officially commenced operations on July 5, 2003. It was rebranded as Hongkong Airlines on September 30, 2006.
The airline boasts a diverse fleet of high-quality aircraft, including the Airbus A330-200, Airbus A320, Airbus A330-200Fs, and Boeing B737-800. Primarily operating within the region, Hongkong Airlines serves 10 destinations in Hong Kong, China, and Vietnam, focusing on routes to Southeast Asian countries.

Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company (HOSE: VJC) has announced a stock dividend plan, offering a 20% dividend payout to shareholders. This means that for every 100 shares held, shareholders will receive an additional 20 new shares.
