The Investigation Police Agency serves the arrest warrant and prosecution decision to Mr. Tống Minh Hòa.
As reported by Tiền Phong Online, in 2024, Hòa served as the Deputy Head of a bank’s transaction office in Buôn Ma Thuột (Đắk Lắk). Around May 2024, he began exploring and investing in online financial schemes. Initially, he saw profits, which encouraged him to invest larger sums.
To secure funds, Hòa deceived a woman from Lâm Đồng Province, claiming he needed money to settle a client’s debt. He borrowed a total of 4.8 billion VND, promising to repay both principal and interest in full.
Trusting Hòa due to his position as a bank employee, the woman lent him the money multiple times. However, Hòa used the entire amount for personal investments and debt repayment, eventually losing it all. He then resigned and fled.
Following a formal complaint, law enforcement authorities launched an investigation, gathered evidence, and apprehended Hòa to proceed with legal action.
